NOTES: ?? songs of bird #2; I arrived at 5:16 with bird giving two "whisper" songs, then a long call at 5:17:10 and one song from its favored tree before it moved; recorder off at 5:21 but bird began again at 5:23 and I got back onto bird at 5:26:36 but it moved twice, both times about 20-30 m, during second part of cut; it moved again with recorder off at 5:29:45 but back on at 5:32:16 after bird arrived in tree along road where it often sang (20 m in on S side of road); bird was now 30-35 m away and high up; it then moved again, this time 75-100 m due south away from where I could reach him; upon its return, I got tail end of second song with bird now 20-25 m away at top of smaller but very densely vegetated tree on north side of road; recorder off one last time at 5:43:33; clear overhead but clouds off to east, calm, 76-77¡ F, just getting light at end of cut.
