Poznámky
NOTES: Range Status: Normal, highly endangered.Ê Breeding Status: Territorial paired, breeding.ÊHPF 200 Hz. Male and female "interacting" back and forth around their focal area, foraging but also they were constructing a nest in the (close) area. These calls are pair contact--at the end there is a harsh buzz-call heard that is unusual but is related to the pair interaction.Ê After 11:37 into the recording, recording continued on recordist's tape #66A. The next 9:50 of the recording includes sequences of pr. foraging together. One individual always is more vocal than the other--likely the male. At some points Zosterops b. mauritanius is a dominant sound as is the exotic bulbul P. jocosus. One of the "pair" called as it flew out at an insect and caught it. Nesting material was being carried (and is annotated so) in the bill. Recordist's note on tape, "Foraging for insects," occurs at 21:15.ÊNote the "warbled" phrases heard during the last three minutes of the recording.ÊGoolie Pere is the Government Concession. We were working on beyond Grand Basin, along the Riviere des Chevrettes. Other Behaviors: Mate, Advertise.
