The pair were constructing a nest and the calls and songs around it are recorded. Female will respond to the male with a buzz-plick call. She does have a very faint song (weak) but many of the calls are shared. Prior to the "1500 hrs" male and female are heard, the female with a harsh buzz call in answer to the male. "Splutter-plick" and " chew-chew." Stan Temple told me of the approach of the female. The male called as she came to nest, but she buzz calls in answer to his chew-chew whew call.
