Podrobnosti k pozorování
Still here (I first saw it on Dec. 9th) and made it through yesterday's snowfall and heavy winds. It flew right in front of me, on the north corner of the base of the main cove, and began chip calling (I did make an audio recording this time). A few minutes later, a RSHA flew up from the ground, on the south end of the cove, which is most likely what may have triggered the Yellow Warbler to call. It pretty much was moving about the scruffy area along the shore line. Eventually it flew up and over the row or homes that align the north edge of the cove and seemed to come down somewhere within the quad (which has lots of low bushes/hedges). When seeing its mantle/back it is much more olive green in color and I could see this easily being mistaken for an Orange-crowned Warbler if someone just got a split second look at it. It made it to the CBC count week and hopefully will be observed by whomever is covering this area on Saturday.
