**Uncommon to rare in the NE in fall, but reliable at coastal sites with open fields like here. In New Haven, and perhaps even in the State, Hammo is the most consistent locale to get one, typically found in the large HOLA/SNBU flocks that aggregate in the nature center lot and Cedar Island/Moraine Trail shoreline. Upon arriving to the nature center lot, the roving flock of HOLA took flight, and we knew we had to find a Lap to add to today's flurry of highlights. First picked out from the HOLA in flight by JAA, and then confirmed for the group when OKR spotted it on the ground. After the flock was flushed a few more times, some birds flew out towards the Moraine Trail, with the Lap among them.
