Pipit like American Pipit with near pure white underparts with sharply contrasting and thick black streaking from neck sides/malar region across breast and down flanks (two broad streaks, marginally browner than neck streaks). Broad white tips to median coverts sharply delineated from dark centres, clear white tips to greater coverts slightly less broad. Clear white supercilium, with upperparts less warm brown than American Pipit with greyish cast to nape and fairly clear dusky mottling on mantle and crown. Bill with particularly narrow and pokey look as often shown by Siberian Pipit, with yellow base. Pinks legs and feet.
