There were two rafts of scaup were just north of Law Island. The smaller Lesser Scaup raft was tight to shore (reported elsewhere on this report). This larger raft, of 730 I reported as Greater/Lesser, was a bit farther out but countable. I subtracted 20 Greated Scaup from the total count (reported elsewhere on this report). The total raft I was able to count by 10's when they settled down for enough time on the water. The scaup were jumpy and picked up and flew several times as they like to do and settled down afterwards. The photo shows that they were mostly Greater, as we often see on the northern lake.
