We encountered a small flock of Horned Larks along the road as we approached the northern tip of Shoal Point. We parked, walked west of the cabin that is partially overhanging the north edge of the point to the beach and soon after a flock of 5 or 6 Horned Larks flew in, and began foraging in the kelp while keeping a close eye on us. The yellow markings on some were very bright.
