Exact count of swifts ENTERING -- not circling -- one of two chimneys on the brick old town hall center (the chimney on the east side) while standing on Cedar St. Documented 7 swifts via iPhone video. There are two chimneys on this building but only one viewable at a time. First one went in at 8:46p ET. This was my first time watching them go in to roost, and I expected more numbers for this colony. 🫤 I’ll come back and check out the other chimney on the west side another night. Surely, there are other chimneys in town for them that aren’t capped/shut off?
