First spotted a particularly bright lemon-yellow bellied kingbird flying across and followed it to a tree for further observation. Eventually heard the distinct arching melodic zippy call associated with Couch's Kingbird. Bright yellow breast extended to the white chin, and tailfeathers lacked the obvious white outside edges of Western kingbirds. Observed for a good while as it moved from tree to tree, back and fourth, and took several photographs.
