This bird has been seen off and on since Dec 14, 2024 when it was recorded on the Richmond-Munster CBC. It was at the marsh lookout along the Chipmunk Trail and feeding on seeds on the lookout deck. Field marks noted: streaking on back; red on wings; almost complete narrow white eye-ring; red on crown; dark eyeline with gray above that; gray on nape; faint dark streaking on flanks, sides and lower breast against a background colour of buffy on the flanks and gray on the upper breast ; faint dark molar and lateral throat stripes. Some photographs were obtained before the bird disappeared in the nearby vegetation and could not be relocated. Will a photograph later.
