Podrobnosti k pozorování
Found a loud vireo singing from an oak tree next to my office at the Zoo (32.737352, -117.153861). Initially, I thought it was a Red-eyed Vireo, as another was found a few days prior, and I figured they must be coming through. After some phishing, and playing a couple of REVI "tchway" calls, it appeared from the dense oak, and I took 1,417 photos at 20 FPS. After reviewing the photos, I suspected it was a Yellow-green Vireo. I quickly uploaded a few pictures to iNaturalist, which immediately recommended YGVI, with no mention of REVI. Upon reporting to the local listserv, I was contacted by P. Lehman about the significance of this summer record, noting that only one other has been accepted by the CBRC. Additionally, B. Rideout informed me that there are no audio recordings in the database for San Diego County. I'm not a regular eBird user and am only uploading my data to properly document this bird. I do not wish to be contacted by reviewers.
