Podrobnosti k pozorování
**Continuing? One was reported here earlier this winter but it hasn't been recorded since Jan 21. I was surrounded by bird activity down in the willow patch just N of the HQ when I heard a long, sputtering trill/chatter that immediately recalled WIWR. I tracked the bird down and found it foraging discreetly around the base of the cottonwood immediately next to the footbridge here (41.127230, -104.699123). I played WIWR calls and it came in giving an agitated series of hard, rapid "chit" notes identical to this (https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/194963381). I spent about 10 minutes watching the bird as it foraged among the dead limbs at the base of the tree. The first sputtering trill/chatter should be diagnostic for the species, but photos also show a clear WIWR with a very pale grayish throat, strong supercilium, well-marked flanks, and a liberal amount of white flecking on the sides.
