Podrobnosti k pozorování
Silent empidonax, looks superficially like least on second photograph, but looked larger in the field. For some time, I was considering Acadian, as there are several field marks that would support this species: eye-ring, flat forehead and peak on rear crown, strong bi-colored bill, weak contrast of malar to throat, olive tint on upperparts, yellowish underwing coverts. Only primary projection looks short compared to plate in Sibley, but not compared to some other photographs. Still I would expect a large step between longest primary and next one, however on my photograph the visible primary tips are equally spaced. Bird doesn't look like being in molt. Further checking and comparison to other photographs made me end up at Alder. Comments still welcome.
