PRIVATE PROPERTY, FOR ACCESS EMAIL ldtbirds37@gmail.com Well this is not what I expected to find on some chill birding on my free period! I walked to the car to get my phone for a recording of the BGGN, and decided to give the area by the red bridge a check. As I was watching a mockingbird gorge itself on berries, a flash of rufous went behind the bird which turned out to be this bird! Myiarchus flycatcher with pale yellow belly merging into gray throat and breast. Rufous edging on both the tail and the primaries, and a dark tip to the tail. Small bill. Very responsive to ATFL playback, but silent. I have some digibins, but others have much better photos. It was flycatching and feeding on berries along the edge of the water twenty feety from the red bridge right here: (35.087781, -85.335996). Bird was mainly feeding on the side east of the path. Again, this bird is on private property, but I would love to help people get on the bird, so just email me at ldtbirds37@gmail.com if you're interested in chasing and I'll try and arrange a time. If you do come on campus without me, you likely will not be able to get in and guards will kick you off if they see you.
