Podrobnosti k pozorování
Continuing bird. Relatively dark mantle and dorsal surface of wing (in comparison to Ring-billed and Bonaparte's gulls nearby), vestiges of a dark hood with prominent eye arcs, white near base of primaries visible in flight and sometimes when bird was perched on the water. Size smaller than Ring-billed, slightly larger than Bonaparte's gulls nearby. Seen well through scope at 50X. Perfect light looking north from Vista Point. There were two other Franklin's / Laughing type gulls. One of these was an adult and one was first winter bird. My best guess is the other adult was also a Franklin's and the immature bird was a Laughing, but I didn't get definitive looks at these. Got only poor photos due to distance. Photo below show's Ring-billed gull toward the right, Franklin's Gull to the left of the Ring-billed and another possible Franklin's (or a Laughing) further left.
