Podrobnosti k pozorování
Initially found drinking from pond. Used playback to bring bird in closer for excellent looks and to trigger bird to call. It called in response to playback of both song and chip notes. The call was a very close match to playback. The bird moved in low riparian vegetation, where it was usually out of sight. Obvious warbler that was uniform olive-green above except for grayish head.the gray of the head extended downwards on to the sides of the breast to form a broken breastband. There were no pale wingbars or tail spots. There was a pale, nearly complete eyering. This eyering was narrower than that of a Macgillivray's and much more complete. The underparts were bright yellow from the throat through the center of the breast to the undertail coverts. There was a greenish wash on the flanks. The undertail coverts were long and reached at least half the length of the tail. The legs were fairly bright pink. Audio of call note attached.
