Podrobnosti k pozorování
Third state record! Absolutely mind boggling bird. First noted by chip call in an Ocean Spray bush, then flew up into a stand of Red Alder and stuck around for around 5 minutes of viewing before disappearing. Medium sized warbler foraging in red alders. Bird had a yellow throat, sides, breast, belly, nape, and vent area. Had some light black streaks on the breast and possibly much fainter streaks on the sides. Bird had a large white crescent below the eye and a smaller white crescent above the eye. The area around the eye crescents, and especially below them, was grey. The crown and bill area were also grey. Appeared to have a sort of broken grey necklace between the throat and breast. Wings were an overall dull greyish brown with the possibility of a very faint white wing bar. The tail had white on the outermost feathers. The white eye crescents gave me the impression that the bird was wearing spectacles. same general size and shape as a TOWA.
