Tawny Frogmouth male with chick defecating from nest. The Tawny Frogmouth trio we have been following late last year has laid a second clutch. The male sits on the nest during the day, covering the two new chicks with his feathers. The weather has been hot, and the chicks now wriggle out from under him, presumably to be cooler. This chick expelled a dropping off the edge of the nest to the ground below. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: January 13, 2018.
