Podrobnosti k pozorování
**Very rare in Guatemala. Only a handful of records for the country. Four birds seen flying down the dunes between the estuary and the ocean. First impressions was larger than more abundant western, least, and semipalmated that were abundant in the area, but still delicate and longer winged and not chunky like a dowitcher. The overall color was warm buffy, and the buffy undersides extended to the belly and gradually became paler as it approached the vent. Back was distinctly scalloped. The underwing coverts were vividly white, with a small patch of underwing primary coverts creating a dark crescent on the white wing. Primaries were dark, and there wad no wing stripe on upsides of wing. Face was plain with a dark eye and no eyebrow. No streaking on undersides, but some smudging on sides of upper breast. There is some excellent grazed short grass fields all along the road just SE of this site (13.918248,-90.998053) that looked promising and might be worth checking for this species in the future. Poor but diagnostic photos
