NOTES: 37 songs and two long calls of BIRD #3; although I first definitely heard this bird at 5:49:25 am, I believe that it gave a single song before this; I then missed seven songs getting onto the bird; the second part of this cut began at 5:39:24 am; the bird used at least four perches in the ten minutes preceding this cut; the bird was 35 meters almost directly overhead for the second part of this cut, when it was in a large tree at the intersection of the logging road and the trail into the plot (Bloco A), located off west side of Estrada do Gave¿, 2.1 km N of Estrada do Caing¿ [19¡ 04' 32" S, 39¡ 54Õ 17" W]; this recording continues as cut #99-109-01; the Parula pitiayumi songs are quite good for much of this cut (in fact, better than those of the Xiphorhynchus for most of this cut). ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Vireo olivaceus chivi to Vireo olivaceus chivi/diversus to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus guttatus to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [guttatus Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
