Observation details
Bird flushed from trail inadvertently and flew to branch in deep shade. Spot pattern wasn't that of Wood Thrush and bird showed no red tones anywhere. The bird did not have the bright eye ring of a Hermit Thrush and it did not tail pump like a Hermit Thrush. It lacked the bright buffy "spectacles" of a Swainson's Thrush. Spot pattern, body color and overall facial look resembled Gray-cheeked or Bicknell's Thrush.
