NOTES: ONE BIRD ON NEST; OTHER LANDED. NEST IN GRASSY SPOT UNDER BUSH. CLUCKS; SQUAWKS; AND 'KER-OOUW'. MICROPHONE ON GROUND BESIDE BIRD ON NEST. 20 FT CABLE TO RECORDER. BIRD STARTED CALLING. MATE STARTED CIRCLING FOR LANDING AND TUMBLED IN AFTER 1 MALE(S); 1 FEMALE(S) RECORDER HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR A FEW SECONDS. ALTHOUGH THE TAPE SOUNDS LIKE ONLY ONE BIRD IS VOCALIZING THERE ARE TWO. THIS CUT IS TO FOLLOW LNS 980 WHICH IS MATE'S CALL FROM THE AIR. AFTER THIS CUT ONE OF THE BIRDS LEFT THE NEST AND FOLLOWED THE CABL. Other Behaviors: Mate, Perform Nest Relief. Elevation: 6 m.
