Observation details
First seen flying over the south end of the marsh loop and headed north. Refound later along the seasonal road on the north east shore of the first pond on the right as you come onto the road. A large brown shorebird with very long and dramatically downturned bill. Separated from LB Curlew (also present) by stockier proportions, smaller size, shorter, thicker, all dark, less tapered and less downward curved bill, shorter, thicker, dark legs, shorter neck, bold dark stripes though eye and side of crown, overall colder coloration without any orange in the wings or belly. Photos to be added.
