Observation details
My first of the season. See a few pictures attached. It was a fairly small flycatcher with a fairly large head, and a fairly short narrow bill. Its tail was notched. Its head was fairly rounded with perhaps a slight rounded peak at the back. It was somewhat grayish with a modestly yellow wash on its belly. It also had a whitish eye ring that was wider behind the eye. The bird was silent unfortunately. It did flick both its wings and tail. Even though it is not one of the flycatchers I see that often, it had enough characteristics of Hammonds per my Stokes bird guide book which has actually pictures, not just illustrations, that I am fairly confident of my ID. If I am wrong, please let me know.
