Observation details
Continuing rarity first reported by Phyllis Mansfield on Tuesday and relocated by Audrey Whitlock yesterday. A stunning little bird with a broad white supercilium and a bright white throat, suggestive of a Bahamian origin vs the darker throated Bananaquits of other islands. It first appeared this morning around 9am and gave a large group of birders some great looks at close range while it fed on the nectar of coral bean blooms just off the boardwalk.
