Media notes
In this digiscoped image the Ross's Goose has positioned itself between the 2 Snow Geese making the dramatic size difference even more apparent.
Observation details
As I scanned the Canada Geese from left to right, this was the first white goose I encountered. I was immediately struck by its small size seemingly half the size of most of the nearby Canada Geese. I also noted the tiny/stubby orange bill that lacked any sign of a grinning patch. The bird eventually worked left joining 2 Snow Geese. Again, the bird was small in comparison, perhaps two thirds the size of the Snow Geese. Additionally, it was structurally inconsistent with the Snow Geese with the aforementioned stubby bill and also having a short necked appearance.
