Observation details
2 singing. Heard 1 singing from the vicinity of scattered shrubs in the E part of reach 4. Later, heard 1 singing from the E while at the photo point. It sounded strangely distant and was hard to locate with the wind; I was not convinced that it was a different individual. Heard presumably another singing ca 200 m above the diversion, along the stream. Between 1055 and 1100, I heard high "seep" calls from a SOSP that I confirmed visually, along the stream ca 100-200 m farther up than where I had heard the singer. Since I had not heard singing for a number of minutes, I suspected it might well be the same bird. Saw it cocking its tail like a wren and using Rosa tangles on a bench of the stream for cover. Relatively secretive. At 1113, I heard singing from the same vicinity of the stream.
