male woodpecker getting ready to drum. Seen near the lake. It was drumming and climbing up the tree. At one point was upside down on the tree.
Observation details
Both were seen close to the lake. One was on a tree trunk drumming the other was on tree roots that led to water. The latter was perched on the root.
