2 males pictured on the south side of Tommy Thompson, with one preening.
Observation details
They were seen both on the south and north side while on our walk. There were 5 on the south side area, which was more exposed with no ice floats. There were 2 males and 1 female seen on the north side mixed in with other species of duck, where the habitat was more protected. They were seen exhibiting diving and preening.
