NOTES: Dawn songs of bird #3 recorded from cacao plantation near house and across swamp and fields. A continuation of cut #98RDAT01-07 after missing 2 songs when bird moved one tree over; tape began at 6:34 with unseen bird 25 m up almost directly overhead. It finished singing soon thereafter and gave a single long call at 6:37, after tape ended. Bird began this morning at 6:13 with a long call, which I missed, and then song soon thereafter. First song on tape was the bird's first of the morning. It sang from canopy of taller trees over cacao plantation, 25-30 m up and generally almost directly overhead; it moved at least three different times, singing from four different trees. Full overcast, calm, low 70s; it began raining lightly at about 6:30. Copied with HPF@200 Hz. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Orchard.
