NOTES: Continuation of cut #97RDAT19-14 after quite a bit of playback of itself. Recorded just short of marker #36 on trail. Bird was seen exceptionally well as it circled around me in response to playback (doing a perimeter of 12-15 m from me). Song was roughly the same after playback. Probably about 15 m away and on or very near ground in good, terra firme forest with relatively open understory. Although bird was generally in constant motion, it seemed to me stationary for much of this cut, possibly standing on a log or some such thing. Full overcast, calm, 75¡ F. Possibly a second bird sinigng in background. ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Chamaeza nobilis fulvipectus to Chamaeza nobilis to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
