Observation details
At 0951, flew in noisily from the S in a 3-bird chase. The birds initially reached the creek upstream of me, then soon flew past me and landed in shrubs downstream (near the E end of reach 3). Though I was recording I glimpsed the black bib of one, indicating at least 1 male. Heard frequent singing as they flew and while they perched until 0953, when 2 flew to the south. They were followed by the last bird at 0954. Photos show this individual to be a female. The singing definitely sounded to be coming from more than 1 bird, so this might suggest that there were 2 males and a female. If so, perhaps this was a sexually-oriented chase.
