Media notes

NOTES: Two songs after whistled imitation (the first one overloaded), in response to which one of two birds (likely a pair) came in right up overhead and sang twice. The first song seemed to have more notes than usual, but otherwise similar. Bird was in two different, dead trees amid artificially flooded "swamp" both time about 35 m from me. ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Xiphorhynchus guttatus eytoni to Xiphorhynchus guttatus [eytoni Group] to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Swamp, Pond, Rural.
