Observation details
One adult male and at least eight female-types with a group of goldfinches, feasting on buds in the canopy. Actual count may have been as many as double the 9 entered here: it's possible I encountered the same group twice. Females streaked with notched tails, distinctive facial patterns. Larger than the goldfinches. Male unstreaked below, notched tail too, different red/"purple" color than House. Heard singing, a distinctly non-HOFI warble. Some "pik" calls too.
