NOTES: Copied using HPF@180 Hz. Recorded 2 1/2 to 3 km out road with bird singing from dense tangle of vines in or near canopy of large tree about 25 m almost directly overhead. Only a few clouds, intermittent breeze, upper 70s to low 80s. In response to playback, bird dropped from canopy into undergrowth within 1 m of ground and moved around slowly (sitting much of the time but eventually moving back up tree) and giving a somewhat different series of soft, "weep" notes before eventually beginning to sing slowly. A male that was well seen after this recording was made. Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest, Edge.
