NOTES: (Dist: distant. Species Sound: Isolated. Range Status: Accidental. Breeding Status: Territorial. General Climate: Arid; cyclic wet-dry. Hab. Types: Oak woodland. Cov. Density: Sparse. Weather: Trace breeze.) K6 in cut position. Given that there was a known stakeout Flame-colored Tanager and no singing male Westerns at this site, this recording more than likely represents the Flame-colored. Unfortunately, I never saw the bird and cannot separate these species by song. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Forest, Evergreen Forest.
