NOTES: A Yungas montane valley opened up for hydro electricity, very little disturbance. Entered in the beginning of the rainy season. Camped at 2175 and spent three days in the area. Disturbance is limited to the valley floor with steep edged hills that we climbed we one is amongst decent forest. Came upon this group along a trail. First recording is without playback. All the calls are of the Collared Jay. This was made in a deep ravine cut by a strong river. These birds are said not to be sexually dimorphic. Number of individuals=UM8+; Response to playback: Approach. Response to playback: Normal song. Response to playback: Different song. Habitat: Rainforest, Cloudforest, Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Montane Grassland, River, Second-growth.
