Media notes

NOTES: L.F. MAJOR. THIS RECORDING IS POSSIBLY A DUET; IT IS DEFINATELY NOT ATRIO. THE BIRDS WERE DOING A SNARL BOU COMBINATION. J.F.M. HORNE CONSIDERS IT MORE THAN LIKELY THAT THIS CUT IS INCLUDED IN W.H. THORPE'S MONOGRAPH 'DUETTING AND ANTIPHONALSONG IN BIRDS' (CAMBRIDGE UNIV. PRESS1972). SHE THEREFORE SUGGESTS THAT ANYONE USING THIS TAPE TO REFER TOPAGES 21 AND 35 OF THAT MONOGRAPH. (SEE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON LNS 8765) MYLES DOES NOT SEE BOTH OF THE BIRDS. AT FIRST HE DOES NOT SEE EITHER; THEN HE SEES ONE WHICH WAS UNRINGED. Habitat: Forest, Lake.
