Media notes
The back bird in the center of the photo is a Red-breasted Merganser. You can see the different colored body from the other males and the slight tuft on this head. Along with the thinner beak you could see the difference. It has been reported by other people on eBird. I also confirmed with two other birders I met at the next birding spot who had seen it also with a spotting scope.
Observation details
Floating with a flock of 20 Common Mergansers. It was a male and shows a tuft on its head along with a sharper beak. Will upload a photo.
