NOTES: Background: LANIARIUS FERRUGINEUS AMBIGUUS (FLUTE CALLS); Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED?; L.F. AMBIGUUS. THIS ISA SEQUENCE OF SNARLS FROM A BIRD CLOSE TO MYLES. THE MELODIOUS BOU FLUTE CALLS OF A SECOND BIRD CAN BE HEARD MORE DISTANTLY. IN HIS RECORDING NOTEBOOK MYLES INDICATES THAT THIS BIRD WAS ONE OF A PAIR DASHING ABOUT. THERE IS NO CONFIRMATION THAT THEY WERE INFACT A PAIR, HOWEVER,THIS IS THE INDICATION. AT THE END AFTER THE LAST SNARL OF THE LANIARIUS, A CUT OF CISTICOLA CANTANS WAS REMOVED AND MYLES IDENTIFICATION COMMENTARY SPLICED BACK. NOTHING OF THE LANIARIUS WAS LOST, BUT THE TIME SEQUENCE BETWEEN THE BIRD AND THE COMMENTARY WILL BE ALTERED. GARDENWITH GOOD TREE AND SHRUB COVERAGE. 1 ADULT(S); Sex: UNKNOWN ML: Background subject changed from recordist's original identification of Laniarius major ambiguus to Laniarius major to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015.
