Ebird says this is high count for this date and location. I agree. Most I have seen in one place ever and 30 of them were near the end of the survey. There were really more than 35 but since ebird says that is high count I reduced the number
Observation details
Most of the Jays were in the last 1000 feet of my survey. Most I have ever seen in a small area. There were more than 35 but ebird says this count is high so I reduced the number from 45 to 35. Hard to count. There were about 15 in one grove of aspens and another 20 behind them well up the hill all the way to the ridge top.
