NOTES: Am. tree sparrows flew out of this bush when I approached. BNA: Probably the alarm note ("tseet") is heard. CZ 17/06/2004. [No, this is not the alarm call of Spizella arborea. In fact, I suspect that these are not even the calls of Spizella arborea, but instead, those of Zonotrichia albicollis. This is the typical call that Z. albicollis gives at disk, but it is nothing like anything I have ever heard from this species or any other Spizella. Quality changed from "~1" to 1-2 - CAM - 27 January 2005] ID changed from Spizella arborea (85% certainty from WLH) to Zonotrichia albicollis. 95% certainty CAM 10Feb2005. mf. Other Behaviors: Roost. Habitat: Forest, Deciduous Forest, Pond, Field, Thicket/Brush.
