Observation details
**Rare; While walking the perimeter trail I was stunned to suddenly hear a loud and clear female-type King/Clapper kek krrrrrrrrr, kek kek kek krrrrrrrrrr, from the 'rail pool.' I stopped and recorded the bird well, listening to it for quite some time. My initial thought was King, but Clapper was not eliminated based on the initial female-type vocalizations I heard and recorded. After awhile it made one flight away low across the pool, but not seen well enough to confirm an ID either way. once flying away low across the pool, but still not seen well enough to confirm an ID either way; Marshall Iliff refound the bird the following day, and photographed it, confirming King (I later returned and obtained images of my own).
