Neotropical Institute Cut # 3 Recorded from 9pm til 10pm. NOTES: THREE PARTS. I saw the bird but not too well. I think there's little doubt as to the identity byth by appearance and voice. In the poor light this bird appeared darker than those of previous cuts. PART A: Natural song (Type B) (Type A was given at start but only 1 or 2 times and I didn't get to record it.) PART B: Through playback (and by my own moving closer too) I was able to get quite close to the bird (15m). The bird was kept interested by occasional playback. PART C: While I was changing reels this bird's mate starting calling first 30 to 50m away. I managed to record only one of its songs; playback of this did not attract it nor did the first bird pay much attention this time.
