Turkey Vulture nest with 2 chicks. Roof of the next was a old fallen log that had long been covered by soil. The nest was on a steeper slope although the entrance to the nest wasn't super steep.
Observation details
Was led to the nest by the local rancher who found it while rounding up cattle. Saw a Black Vulture overhead while viewing nest. While leaving we flushed a Turkey Vulture off the ground about 40m from the nest. The roof of the next was a old fallen log that had long been covered by soil. The nest was on a steeper slope although the entrance to the nest wasn't super steep.
