Observation details
Was still here, continuing since yesterday. Size really about one-third that of a Mallard. A small diving duck. It was not diving and foraging today but mainly drifting/swimming around near the Mallards and occasionally drifting further out into the river alone. Was keeping it's eyes closed for the most part. Could not find it at the end of the observation, or the next day, so it must have drifted out of sight into the fog or took off while I was on the island.
