NOTES: (Gen. Climate: Arid. Cover Density: Sparse.) [This recording has three parts. The first part has the soft Chirp Calls of the nestlings in the background and 14 Drums and 15 "Kyik" Call Notes by the adult in the foreground. The second part is similar, beginning with many soft "kyik" Call Notes by the adult and soft Chirp Calls by the nestlings (these becoming Loud Chirp Calls at 7:07). Later in this part there are 12 Drums. The Call Notes at 9:47-10:22 are probably the BEST in this recording. The third part begins with loud Chirp Calls by the nestlings, followed by what I suspect is a Scream-Rattle-Snarl, and finally four more Drums. Quality added (1-2, 2-1) - CAM - 2 May 2005]. Number of individuals=NU2+;. Other Behaviors: Depart, Bill Drumming, Arrive, Establish Parent Young Contact, Beg, Social Context: Family. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Montane Grassland.
