Observation details
***VERY Rare. Bird found by Blair Nikula continues, at the same spot described as before, just south of the "washout" where it is just sand all across the beach to the ocean. First found at 1:10pm, and watched and photographed for 15 minutes before it flew off to the south. We then headed south to try to relocate it, and failing to do so down there, came back up to the same area, where it was feeding at the waters edge with Semipalmated Sandpipers and Sanderling, as well as the "Rumplin". It was much more cooperative this time around, and we hung around with it from about 2:40 until 3, when we had to start walking north back to the pickup site. When we left the bird was still feeding actively on the mudflats
