NOTES: Background: ARDEA NOVAEHOLLANDIAE (YOUNG BEING FED); Background: PHILEMON CORNICULATUS (RAUCOUS NOTES); Weather: WIND; SHRILL PENETRATING BUZZY CALL; NO DOUBT AT LEAST PART OF ITS FUNCTIONIS TO KEEP THE FLOCK TOGETHER. THESE VERY SMALL PARROTS CALL CONSTANTLY EVEN WHILE FEEDING UPSIDE DOWN ON THE NECTAR OF THE FLOWERING GUM TREES. DESPITE THE ABUNDANCE OFFLOWER CLUSTERS ON SEVERAL LARGE EUCALYPTUS TREES THE LORIKEETS ENGAGED IN A GOOD DEAL OF SKIRMISHING AMONG THEMSELVES. IN TALL FLOWERING EUCALYPTUS TREES NEAR BOTTOM OF A LOW HILLIN SEMI-OPEN COUNTRY NEAR THE SEA. MID-AFTERNOON. 110 OR MORE BIRDS. Sex: 110 UNKNOWN. Other Behaviors: Establish Flock Contact.
